The story of the Must-have dress
Back in 2012, Spanish fashion designer Sita Murt designed a very beautiful dress. One of those pieces you just have to own, but cannot buy—meaning you have to try to create something similar yourself.
Several years passed where I made a few failed attempts. It took an invitation to a big 50th birthday party for my motivation to return. I had two weeks, so time was tight. New yarn was put on the needles, and I made swatches, drew, and calculated, and voila, on the way to the party, I finished weaving in the last ends, and thankfully, the dress fit perfectly. The dress attracted a lot of attention, and I was encouraged to create a knitting pattern for it.
Because my version resembles the original, I contacted Sita Murt’s daughter, Isabel Esteve, as Sita Murt is no longer with us. I sent her a picture of the dress and asked for permission to sell my pattern. She was very enthusiastic about my result and was pleased that the dress had received attention in Denmark. Most importantly, she gave me her blessing to sell the pattern.

Size guide and measurements:
The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL correspond to a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 cm. The dress should fit snugly, and as the knit can stretch quite a bit, there is a large difference between the measured width when the dress is laying flat and when it is worn. The model in the photo has a bust measurement of 84 cm and is 174 cm tall, but her hip measurement corresponds to a size S, so she is wearing a size S.
Gauge: 14 stitches x 28 rows in seed stitch with Col B on 6 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm
Recommended needles: Circular needle 6 mm (80 or 100 cm), circular needle 4.5 mm (60 cm)
